Kirtan with Anthony Rocco

Prepare for the summer solstice with the ancient practice of kirtan, led by Anthony Rocco. Chanting and singing (kirtan) is a practice of communal, devotional music. Inner awareness is cultivated through meditation and breathwork.
No skill or training is required for this workshop. New and experienced practitioners can participate in the guided, group chanting and call-and-response singing accompanied by a harmonium.
Please bring a cushion for sitting if you have one.
Entry is by donation – $10 – $25 suggested
The shala will be open at 9am for kirtan – no mysore practice.

Workshops are open to the general public. If you have never taken a class or workshop at Mission Ashtanga, please fill out a waiver prior to the workshop date.
All levels of ability and experience are welcome in the Mission Ashtanga community. However, some workshops require prior knowledge or experience. Please honor the level of experience required for the workshop.
Online workshops will be accessed by a Zoom invitation issued at time of registration.
